Leprosy has always been a disease that is misunderstood by the community. Some refer to it as a 'witchcraft' disease, some of us don’t even really know what this disease really looks like. Instead of embracing, some people actually keep a distance from people with leprosy. Therefore, this year's #WorldLeprosyDay carries the theme #ActNowEndLeprosy.
Lepra selalu menjadi salah satu penyakit yang disalahpahami oleh masyarakat luas. Beberapa menyebutnya sebagai penyakit ‘guna-guna’, tidak sedikit pula yang tidak benar-benar mengetahui seperti apa penyakit ini sebenarnya. Alih-alih merangkul, sebagian orang justru menjauhi para pengidap lepra. Maka dari itu, #HariLepraSedunia tahun ini mengusung tema #ActNowEndLeprosy.
