From April 14th to 16th, 2023, AMSA-Unhas organized the Local Exchange AMSA-Unhas 2023: Holding Parts on Empowering Women in Becoming Modern Kartini (HERO) in collaboration with AMSA Universitas Airlangga and AMSA Universitas Kristen Indonesia virtually. The purpose of this event was to strengthen the relationships among participating AMSA University members. Holding Parts on Empowering Women in Becoming Modern Kartini (HERO) served as the theme with the hope that delegates could become more familiar with Obstetrics and Gynecology medical knowledge.
On the first day, April 14th, 2023, a Welcoming Party was held, featuring a welcoming dance and opening remarks by the MC. This was followed by the presentation of the AMSA Song and speeches by Cindy Fayola as the Project Officer, representatives from each AMSA University, and a welcome speech from the Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Medicine at Hasanuddin University. The day concluded with the screening of an AMSA-Unhas profile video and closing remarks by the MC.
Activities continued on the second day, April 15th, 2023. In the morning, there was a campus tour, lectures, clinical skill labs, and a Focus Group Discussion. In the afternoon, delegates participated in a city tour and a cultural class to learn about and broaden their understanding of the cultural values in Makassar.
On the third day, April 16th, 2023, the program included a charity talk show presented by Olive Hateem with the topic "Women of Today" and an ice-breaking session. The event concluded with performances by delegates and the organizing committee, an awarding ceremony, padlet activity, and the screening of an after-event video.
