On March 17th, 2023, AMSA-Unhas, under the Community Outreach division, organized the Event Of The Year 2023: Accomplished Hypertension Prevention for Better Society (CORONARY), which aimed to focus on community service through activities such as exercise, a talk show, a sandwich competition, and health check-ups, held at the Tala BTP Field.
The event commenced with an opening ceremony featuring speeches by Nabilah Nurul as the Project Officer and Gita Fitri Aidini as the AMSA-Unhas Representative for 2022/2023. This was followed by a group exercise session with local residents and AMSA-Unhas members. Subsequently, a talk show was conducted by Dr. Nelvi Augustin Horansil. The activities continued with the Sandwich Competition, enlivened by local residents, as well as blood pressure checks and education provided by AMSA-Unhas members. The event concluded with a group documentation session.
The Event Of The Year 2023: Accomplished Hypertension Prevention for Better Society (CORONARY) is expected to raise awareness among the public about hypertension. Additionally, this event serves as a platform for AMSA-Unhas members to serve the community and apply medical knowledge, particularly regarding hypertension and its prevention.
