Vaccination in the current pandemic era is very crucial to prevent further spread of COVID-19. Moreover, with the increasing number of cases of infection with the Omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus, which in fact has a high risk of re-infection, the government has encouraged the public to get a booster for the COVID-19 vaccine to increase immunity after the recommendation of the previous two vaccination doses.
In order to support that, on Sunday, February 6, 2022, AMSA-Unhas together with TBM Calcaneus FK Unhas held a vaccination that was open to the general public. This event was carried out at the University of Hasanuddin Medical Faculty Student Center at 09.00-14.00 WITA. The participant had to go through 4 stages, which consist of registration, vital signs examination, vaccination, and observation.
We are very grateful that the event was held successfully, thanks to the teamwork and volunteers who have worked hard, especially the partner for this activity, TBM Calcaneus FK Unhas and the people who were present to get the vaccinated.
We hope that this event can be a place to gather information for the public, raising awareness, and public health in fighting the spread of the COVID-19 virus! We need to keep the good habits such as wash our hands, wear a mask, and keep our distance and mobility.
