Exactly a year ago, WHO declared the COVID-19 as a pandemic. Latest update of Covid-19 on 10th March 2021 there's 117.132.788 positive cases in the world and 2.600.839 deaths. In Indonesia there's 1.398.578 positive cases and 37.932 deaths. This number make us aware about how this pandemic takes a lot of toll in our daily lives.
Now in 2021 the new vaccines has been spread out and administrated to prevent Covid-19 spreads. But we should not forget to keep health protocol even though we had been vaccinated such as wearing masks, stay at least 6 feet apart, wash your hand with soap or antiseptic solution and stay at home.
Do not discourage because of pandemic because it's not the end of everything. Make it become new step stones to make a better life ahead. Our hands are tiny, our voices may seem inaudible, but together let us help stop the pandemic even with our littlest spark of action!

IMSTC 2021 is held on 6th-7th and 13th-14th February 2021. Bringing “Trypanosoma” as a theme, this 4 days virtual national event has definitely bring a diverse experience!
On the first day, it was a grand entrance of opening ceremony, continued with lecture, Post-AMSEP Presentation, Welcoming Party, “The Journey to Aceh” *Museum Tsunami and Mesjid Raya Baiturrahman), Merchandise Bazaar and ended with Technical Meeting for the academic competitions.
On the second day, academic delegates strives to compete in many competitions while other delegates get small class trainings for scientific paper and photography. Delegates also get to experience lecture and continued the virtual city tour series to “PLTD Apung”. The night ends with sponsorship session and the cultural Aceh Night Show.
A week later, the third day starts with competitions and small class trainings for scientific poster, videography and public poster. The day also was completed with virtual toor to “Sabang”, AMSA-Indonesia Session, Sponsorship Session, and AMSA International Day (Cultural Booth).
The last day was not less exciting, as the day starts with Rapat Tatap Muka and Mini Advocacy Simulation. Then, we are brought to the closing ceremony, social hour, and the opening of EOTY. Later on, there’s merchandise bazaar, the bright district performances, elegant inauguration of APH, city tour of “Rumoh Aceh” and the awaited competition winner announcement. That’s how grand the farewell party was.

AMSEP Indonesia For Taiwan 2021 that is hosted by AMSA-Unhas for AMSA-Fu Jen Catholic University is quite different this year, for its delegates comes from not only Taiwan, but also Malaysia and Philippines. 25-30th January 2021 in AMSEP catches you a glimpse of Makassar virtually with the theme “AMYGDALA”, Amplify Your Guidance, Deepen Your Love, and Affection.
Day one starts with opening ceremony and speeches from Arifi Jauhary Su'dan (AMSA-Unhas Representative), Savero Vasya Jendriza (DoAMSEP Indonesia), Charlene Chen (DoAMSEP Taiwan), Elora Laetitia Gom (DoAMSEP Malaysia), Jamuel Cabusas (DoAMSEP Philippines), Davyna Abysha (DoAMSEP International) & dr. Rina Masadah, Sp.PA, M.Phil, DFM (Wakil Dekan 4 FK Unhas).
Day two is an academic day with lectures from dr. Kristian Liaury, Ph.D, Sp.KJ about “Depression” & dr. Erlyn Limoa, Sp.KJ, Ph.D about “Borderline Personality Disorder”.
On the third day, delegates get to watch a video about “Suicide Prevention” , continued with lecture by dr. A. Suheyra Syauki SP.KJ and posters presentations by delegates.
The fourth day is started with introduction about AMSA-Indonesia by the Regional Chairperson, Helena Arnetta. Next is a virtual city and culinary tour four our lovely delegates. Then comes a session to learn Lontara Characters along with ways to write them.
After a bunch of theory lectures, fifth day is practice time! Here’s "Clinical Skill Learning" lecture about how to suture by dr. Tiara Adam. AMSEP continues with Cooking Class on making “Pisang Epe” in sociocultural session.
Day six marks the last day of this year’s AMSEP for Taiwan. There are PBL Case Explanation by dr. Kristian, dr. Erlyn and dr. Suheyra, and also “Tale of Makassar” in sociocultural session. After about an hour break, comes the awaited Farewell Party! Mel and Jiveen looks dashing in Baju Bodo and Jas Tutup. The farewell party was filled with performances by committees and delegates, touching sharing sessions, awarding announcements and after party video.

East Asian Medical Students’ Conference (EAMSC) Manila, 2021 held virtually yet filled with many interactive activities. Starting from 3rd of January to 10th, the conference does not disappoint participants to get insights about “Communication in Healthcare: Sending the Right Message”.
At 3-4 January 2021, Executive Board meeting and Pre-conference was held as warming-ups before exciting events ahead.
5th January 2021 marks the first day, as we join the opening ceremony to know about AMSA-Philippines and a glimpse of its culture, also getting greetings from AMSA-International and their wonderful sharing and teamwork. We are also given informative panel sessions from 4 well known doctors and experts, a discussion of a certain health problem that has been going on in the Philippines. Not long after we are brought to see Jeepney as Philippines’ culture on public transportation. Guess it’s like pete-pete in Makassar, or ojek, right? The day ends epic-ly with Social Activity #1 that is very fun indeed, a “Bring-me” game to search up certain stuffs from our own houses with the loser to be punished. Imagine running from your room to the kitchen to pick up cooking pans in this pandemic!
The next day starts with a “Word-Guessing” game with our respective group GM’s in the icebreaker session. Then, we are split into two of our chosen cultural workshops. The conference offers various interesting workshops, such as Bisayan Language, Zoomba, Tagalog Language, Puni Leaf Folding, Calligraphy and etc.
As usual, the day also starts with fun icebreaker games on the third day, a pop quiz about AMSA and Asian general facts. As usual, the loser gets to be punished! Don’t worry, we just get to sing/dance. Then we are split again to our chosen parallel sessions, surely about topics about communication in healthcare, such as visual communication gesture and Dr.Google & Misinformation. It’s great to have informative sessions aside from college life.
The fourth day is the presentation day for scientific paper and white paper competition. We get to see from many countries abroad presenting their hearts out. Pay attention to see the best from many countries! Oh, this day’s icebreaker is to show our artistic side! Online scribbling time!
On the fifth day laid our last icebreaker session with our group GM’s. We played “Guess-the-song” game, and it was really fun! Funny how we are from different countries but music bring us as one. Then in the middle of the day we are filled with Design Thinking Sessions, from the plenary, workshop, to the presentation. We are working hard to discuss cases of health communication problems in islands of Philippines.
A glimpse of the Philippines experience ends on 10th January 2021, with the lovely speed dating social activity! This surely opened the eyes of the participant to improve their english speaking skills as communicating to many people from other countries is not only awkward, but very fun and lively! It will be such a shame to miss out for such an opportunity, it was an honour, EAMSC 2021! The day ended with the elegant Closing Ceremony. As we said our goodbyes, we are back with more speed dating because democracy wins, “we want more!” in the comment sections came true.

This Year Rapat Kerja Nasional was held by Universitas Sebelas Maret on October 30th-November 1st. It was held virtually and this year's theme is "Dopamine: Dodging Depression in Daily Routines". AMSA Unhas delegates for virtual Rapat Kerja Nasional 2020/2021 were Yuliana Bernadetha Patangke, Arifi Jauhary Su'dan, Luqyana Tiwi Mufidah Akhyani, Adrian Manuel Sutanto, Venna Regita Cahyadi, M. Ilham Mubarak A. R. Bando, Jeane Kinanti Tandung, and Jiveen Rajendra.
The first day of virtual Rapat Kerja Nasional 2020/2021, our delegates were attending the opening ceremony. Then, they were given nglectures from Sehat Mental Indonesia about Stress and Depression. The welcoming party held after ishoma where they got a chance to hear a harmonious choir, Voca Erudita. After the choir, they got another chance to see Surakarta through virtual city tour and merch bazaar with cool designed merches. After that, the first day ended with election and ratification of the presidium.
On the last day, our delegates attend meetings and many games. There was announcement of social act event winner and an exceptional performance from OC Rakernas 2020. This annual meeting continued with "meet the expert" session by dr, Nurliati Sari Handini Sp. BP-RE and finally concluded with a farewell party.
We would like to thank Universitas Sebelas Maret for hosting this year's Rapat kerja Nasional. We also like to congratulate AMSA-Universitas Sam ratulangi as the host of the upcoming musyawarah Nasional.

Virtual National Leadership Training 2020 has finally come to an end. It was hosted by AMSA-Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar through Zoom meeting, on July 24th-26th & August 1st-2nd, 2020. Throughout those 5 days, our delegates experienced “Knowledge, Action, Friendship”
They gained new knowledge through Small Group Discussion, Sharing Session, and even Lectures & Skill Development about “Disruption Era”.
For the social action, they were given task to educate people about New Normal through social media. As for the Friendship, AMSA-Unismuh arranged it in a very successful way, because our delegates could make a lot of new friends only by bonding time, playing games and doing sports through online.
Lastly, this Virtual NLT also offer some interesting things such as learning Bahasa Makassar, city tour, introduction to RCC, post AMSEP presentation, Rakernas and IMSTC bidding, Rapat Tatap Muka (RTM), and also NLT Award.
Overall, this Virtual NLT was a remarkable experience to our delegates!

East Asian Medical Students' Exchange Program (EAMSEP) Cluj Napoca for Indonesia has finally come to an end! It was successfully hosted by University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Iuliu Hatieganu”, Romania.
1 delegate from AMSA-Unhas, Imanuaela Y.B. got the chance to visit Romania from February 28th - March 8th, 2020. Throughout EAMSEP, she learned a lot about Romanian cultures.
There, she had traditional dinner at Casa Maramuresana and watched Romanian Movie: Usturoi. Besides, our delegate also joined a sewing workshop at Biblioteca Centrala Universitara, went to play bowling and bilyard and also went to a karaoke party with the comittees.
Our delegate also got the chance to witness the beauty of Romania. They went city tour and sighsteeing at some beautiful places such as Central Park, Union Square, Matthias Corvinus House, Avram Iancu Square, Casa de Cultura a Studentilor and Vivo Mall.
For the academic and social activites, EAMSEP Cluj Napoca actually offered our delegate to learn endoscopy, hospital visits, genetic presentation. But, due to COVID-19, most of these activities was cancelled and changed to city tour and sightseeing.
But overall, EAMSEP Cluj Napoca was a wonderful experience to our delegate. Even words can’t describe how grateful our delegate to be a part of this amazing journey!

Indonesian Medical Students' Training and Competition (IMSTC) 2020 was successfully hosted by AMSA-Universitas Brawijaya on February 6th-9th. The event was started with a welcoming party at Graha Medika, Universitas Brawijaya
The next day, our delegates attended lectures, talkshow, GO session and small class training about TRACTION: Trauma Care With Comprehensive Solutions. Then, they went culinary night and tried some Malang culinary such as sempol, dawet, degan, sate and bakso
The third day was the competition day. AMSA-Unhas sent a partner of academic delegates for public poster competition and they achieved the most favorite public poster! After the competition, our delegates continued went to Ijen Hotel and had a pleasant farewell party
On the last day of IMSTC 2020, our delegates went city tour and then had their flight back to Makassar. This 4-days-event was very enjoyable. Our delegates made a lot new friends and also got bunch of new knowledges, thank you AMSA-UB!

Asian Medical Students' Exchange Program (AMSEP) England, UK at King's College of London was held on January 25th until February 3rd, 2020
On the first day, after all delegates from Indonesia arrived at London, they joined a dinner together with all the host from King's College of London. The next day, delegates from Indonesia went to St. Thomas Hospital to do a hospital visit. After that they went to chill together at King's College of London then they had a dinner. On the third day, they had a campus tour at King's College of London. Then on the next day they went to Imperial College for a tour. On the fifth day, they joined a history taking session, an anatomy talk through with dr. Hunter and they saw a heart dissection. After that they went to Oxford University for a campus tour then they joined a cultural night. On the last day they had a wholesome brunch at the AMSEP Officer's home and after that the delegates were sent to the airport
AMSA-UK had successfully made a memorable trip for our delegates. A big thank you to the committee for this wonderful AMSEP experience

On January 16th-19th, AMSA-Unhas got the chance to host 5 delegates from AMSA-UGM. Throughout the 4-days-program, the delegates enjoyed some activites. They joined welcoming party at Grand Asia Hotel right after they arrived in Makassar. They also joined the academic activities on the second day, where delegates attended forensic lecture by dr. Natalia Widjaya, clinical skill lab by dr. Jaury Prawiro Sutjianto and hospital visit at RS. Wahidin Sudirohusodo
For the social action, the delegates were given a chance to visit Yayasan Kasih Anak Kanker Indonesia. On the same day, the delegates also went sightseeing at Pantai Akkarena
The most exciting part was the trip to Malino. There, they had outbond at Hutan Pinus and Malino Highland and went to the traditional market. At night, we had an enjoyable farewell party
The next day, early in the morning, we went back to Makassar and straightforward to souvenir shop, Toko Cahaya. After that, the delegates were sent to the airport
We are very grateful for this wonderful experience to host AMSA-UGM. Hopefully the delegates enjoyed Makassar and we hope that our friendships will last forever

This year, EAMSC 2020 was held in India, January 5th-10th, 2020.
On the first day, AMSA-Unhas delegates arrived at New Delhi and after that, they joined a welcome dinner at The Lalit Hotel.
The second day started with scientific paper and poster competition at Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), continued with hospital visit and sightseeing at India Gate. At night, they had GM Night which all delegates had dinner with their own General Manager. .
On the third day, the delegates joined a refreshing yoga in the morning. Then, proceed to join academic workshops, cultural workshop and went sightseeing at Lodi Garden and Old Fort
The next day, our delegates joined the public poster competition and case presentation. Then, continued with international booth where we served some Indonesian food such as keripik pisang, kacang telor, pop mie, teh botol, etc. Then, at night, we went sightseeing at Kingdom of Dreams
On January 9th, they went sightseeing to the Seven Wonders of The World, Taj Mahal. Then, at night our delegates joined cultural night and farewell party at The Lalit Hotel. Indonesian delegates sang and “Indonesia Pusaka” and dance with “Gemu Famire (Maumere)” song.
On the last day, our delegates joined the closing ceremony and after that, they get ready for their flight
EAMSC 2020 was a sweet beautiful memories to our delegates. They really had so much fun and amazing experiences. Thank you, AMSA-India!

Expedition and Observation (EXON) 2019 is a collaboration program between AMSA-Unhas and AMSA-UGM. EXON was hosted by AMSA-UGM from 14th-17th December 2019.
On the first day after our delegates arrived at Yogyakarta, they attend the first event, which was Welcoming Party at Omah Dhuwur Jogja. Then, on the second day our delegates went to catch sunrise at Puncak Mangunan and straightforward to explore at Pantai Wohkudu. Also, they went to learn to make Batik and then continued with social action at the orphan. At night, they went to Purawisata Jogja to see a traditional dance called Tari Ramayana
The third day started with lectures and clinical skill lab at Universitas Gadjah Mada. Then, they went tour to the Kraton Ngayogyakarta and Malioboro. Then, the third day was closed with a warm farewell party
On the last day, they went city tour to Candi Borobudur and then our delegates were sent to the airport. This is such a unforgettable experience for our delegates. May this journey brings a new lesson for us! Thank you, AMSA-UGM!
